The Decision Room™
You've done the work. You've interviewed dozens, deliberated, and narrowed it down. Now you're staring at two, three, or four finalists for a role that will shape your organization for years to come. The margin for error is zero. Enter... The Decision Room.
The problem with the final stage
Most hiring processes are remarkably rigorous right up until the moment that matters most. Résumés get screened. Phone calls get logged. Interviews get scheduled. And then, when it comes down to the final slate of candidates for a C-Suite, VP, or Sales Leadership role, the decision often comes down to gut feel, internal politics, or whoever interviewed best on a given day.
That's not a process. That's a roll of the dice. And at this level, a bad hire doesn't just cost money - it costs momentum, morale, and sometimes years of recovery.
"After 14+ years of studying how people behave in the workplace, I can tell you that most costly mis-hires are not mysteries in hindsight. The signals were there. No one had the right lens to read them."
- Harry Lakin, Founder, Hire Capacity
What The Decision Room is
The Decision Room is a bespoke advisory engagement, built entirely around your specific situation, your specific finalists, and the unique demands of the role you're filling. There is no off-the-shelf version of this. Every engagement is a one-of-a-kind.
I bring 14+ years of behavioral insight and pattern recognition to your final hiring decision, supported by the OMS assessment - one of the most precise behavioral measurement tools available. OMS goes beyond personality type or surface-level traits. It maps the behavioral DNA of your finalists against the actual demands of the role, revealing not just who your candidates are, but how they will perform, lead, sell, and collaborate once they're in the seat.
I then synthesize everything - the data, the behavioral patterns, the role requirements, the team dynamics - and work alongside your team to arrive at a decision you can stand behind with confidence.
How it works
Step 1
Role clarity session
We define what behavioral success actually looks like for this role in your organization - not some generic job description, but a true behavioral benchmark.
Step 2
Candidate assessment
Each finalist completes the OMS assessment. The data reveals how they are wired - their drives, needs, and likely behaviors under the real conditions of the role.
Step 3
Deep-dive debrief
I walk your team through the findings in plain language - no jargon, no ambiguity. You'll understand each finalist in a way you couldn't from an interview alone.
Step 4
The recommendation
I give you my honest, experienced perspective on who fits best - and why. You make the call. I make sure you're making it with eyes wide open.
Who this is for
The Decision Room is purpose-built for organizations making final hiring decisions at the:
-
C-Suite level: CEO, COO, CFO, CRO, CHRO, and equivalents
-
VP level: Operational leaders who will shape culture and drive results
-
Sales leadership: Regional Directors, VPs of Sales, National Sales Managers
This is not a high-volume, transactional service. The Decision Room is intentionally limited in availability so that every engagement gets the full weight of my attention and experience. If you are filling a critical role and need to get this right, this was built for you.
Why this is different
There are hundreds of assessment tools. There are many consultants. What The Decision Room offers is the combination of both, 14+ years of lived experience reading people in the workplace, paired with a behavioral instrument precise enough to reveal what interviews cannot.
This isn't a report you receive and interpret on your own. I am on this journey with you...walking you through what the data means, and what it doesn't, and how to weigh it against everything else you already know about your candidates. My expertise is the offering. The OMS is the lens.
Every engagement is custom. Every recommendation is earned. And every client walks away with a clarity they didn't have before they walked in.
You're so close. Let's make sure you get it right.
